Shipping and Returns
Here at Nick's International Foods we highly prioritize satisfying our customers. Below we outline our shipping process. Please read it thoroughly and follow our recommendations to insure our products reach you in optimal quality. We will always work hard to keep our customers satisfied. For our shipping we use UPS and the Post Office.
For perishable products or heat sensitive products you should choose UPS overnight or UPS 2nd Day Air delivery option. Perishable and heat sensitive products include:
- cheeses or any other dairy products
- any refrigerated products
For frozen meats or products that contain frozen meats you should choose an overnight delivery option.
We HIGHLY recommend you choose these options to insure freshness and quality. It is at the customers own risk if our recommended shipping option is not selected or if the customer uses USPS. We will not be held responsible if the customers does not use our recommended shipping options. If you require for your order to be delivered on a certain date please include a comment in your order comments stating when you need your order by.
Perishable and frozen products will be shipped with a combination of ice blankets, dry ice, and insulted thermal liner to insure freshness and quality.
For large orders we recommend you make separate orders with one containing perishable items, and another containing non-perishable items.
To determine shipping costs we have worked with UPS to offer very reasonable shipping options especially for our overnight delivery option. The factors that impact the cost are the weight of the package and the shipping address zip code. A fee is also applied to the shipping cost by us to cover for the packaging material.
For perishable products, we avoid shipping later in the week to avoid transit delays the occur over the weekend that could lead to spoilage. For products that require 3 days shipping and delivery time, we will ship these orders Monday-Tuesday. For products that require 2 days shipping and delivery time, we will ship these orders Monday-Wednesday. For products that require overnight shipping, we will ship these orders Monday-Thursday.
It is critical that you, the customer, enter the correct delivery address in order to completely fulfill your order at your satisfaction. If the incorrect address is inputted and delivery is sent, we are not held responsible if the order gets lost, stolen, or spoils.
If you purchase and choose to ship ANY perishable products from us, it is important that someone is present when deliveries are made to eliminate the risk of spoilage. If you do not think someone will be present when delivery is made, select a different time frame for the shipment to be made at the time of purchase. We want to insure our product arrives to you, the customer, at the highest of quality. Therefore we hold the right to make any necessary adjustments to shipping dates if we believe the shipping and delivery method that was chosen will result in spoilage. We will communicate any changes to you, the customer, if necessary adjustments are needed.
Returns are not accepted after 5 days from the date the order is received. We do not accept returns on perishable items. You cannot return items that you do not like in taste or package shape. Items that have been opened can not be returned. Return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility. Shipping and handling charges are NOT refundable. Returns may be subject to a 5-20 percent restocking fee. We need to have the return physically delivered to us in order for a refund to take place.
